A Pavagen Renewable Energy Walking Tile

There's a new company named Pavagen Systems that is producing a new material that you walk on. Sounds pretty normal right? Here's the catch: With each step you are generating renewable energy. Some of the energy is used to power a light on the tile (aka "slab"), but some of it can be stored to be used later. 

This is some pretty interesting stuff considering all the diverse applications. Imagine a Manhattan where these tile simply line the street corners where people congregate to wait to cross. Imagine a stair case made of these tiles that light the way as you ascend and descend. Ok - I think you're starting to understand how revolutionary this company's product could be...
